southern twang influence. The Bell
Brothers deliver original but
familiar sound through their blend
of highly energetic country and
roots rock. Their harmony voices
weave tightly together to produce a
signature style achieved by a

Scott have been influenced by
artists such as Roy Orbison, Keith
Urban, Willie Nelson, Rascal Flatts,
Alabama, and The Eagles. Through
their original songs, the Bell
Brothers express heartfelt
sentiments as well as humor and good
times- all things that they enjoy
sharing with friends and family and
are continually living life to
explore and refine. Their
songwriting has been acknowledged,
with several of their original works
being picked up by Sherrill
Blackman, Universal South, Hit
Writers and Sony Nashville. The Bell

The Volker Strifler Band is a
sizzling package of roots and soul

Blues, the Monterey Bay Blues
Festival competition and returned
from Memphis to well received
accolades at the 2008 Blues
Foundations International Blues

CHILDREN'S
CONCERT -
The Time Outs!! |
|
Date:
July 12, 2009
The Time
Outs make rockin’ kid music that
offers a groovy new twist on the
usual fare. A fun mix of indie pop,
60’s garage and good old-fashioned
rock-n-roll, The Time Outs catchy
tunes will have the pip squeaks
hoppin’ and the parents sneakin’ a
listen even when their kids aren’t
in the car. Built on the philosophy
that awesome rock doesn’t have to be
pretentious—and that kid’s music
doesn’t have to be insanely
sweet—The Time Outs have created a
raucous, fun dance party that will
have the most jaded parents clapping
and singing along.

The
Buzztones |
Date:
August 30, 2009
Forming in the late
seventies and rising to local glory
in the early eighties, the Buzztones
started as a band to pay the
respective members rent while they
worked on “real” music projects.
Predictably, all of the “real” music
projects went up in flames, while
the public seemed to really pick up
what the Buzztones were putting
down. They were a mainstay on
Wednesdays at Abernathy’s in Walnut
Creek and Mondays at Mountain Jacks
in Lafayette. What they put down
was a collection of British
Invasion, out of the way American
gems, and any song they loved. Mixed
in was a healthy dose of big laughs,
inside jokes, and infectious new
dance crazes. Some embarrassing
eighties hairstyles were included
although most existing photographs
have been confiscated and destroyed.
The Buzztones have
been sighted very few times in
recent years. Some people think they
joined an exotic cult, or started
doing singing telegrams, or got into
barbershop quartet competition.
These rumors are only partially
true. The band stopped playing
together for many years, but forgot
to break up. It is always a blast
when they get together.
Dave is currently
fronting “Dave Martin’s House
Party”, Alan drums for “Dream Posse”
and also plays with Ken in “Mersey
Beach”. Dan plays in “LUMBERYARD”
and does solo acoustic work. Ken can
also be found playing solo acoustic.
The Buzztones were
and are:
David Martin -
Vocals, Guitars
Ken Cooper - Vocals,
Guitars
Dan DeShara - Vocals,
Guitars, Bass Guitars
Alan Thiele - Vocals,
Drums, and no guitars |
